Welcome to St Firmins

Here we are....for the community

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.   John 3.16

We give space for people to meet..

Our recently decorated Church Hall is used regularly by the Brownies, Youth Club, Bingo, as well as the hall being used for social events such as our surround sound film shows, slide shows, quizzes, themed suppers and private functions such as birthday parties.

You will find members belonging to many of the village organisations such as the British Legion, Brownies, Guides, Scouts, Beavers, Thurlby Wives, Parish Council and the Lawrence Park Association. Many live out their faith in small, hidden ways that do not draw attention, but are real and important nonetheless. We are always looking for ways to support, celebrate and serve the community and to help people feel loved and at home. We sometimes fail - but we hope that we succeed too!

Our short term plans are:

To develop outreach with our youth group

To sponsor and provide new chairs in the church

     To develop children's ministry

We are also here for people in need outside the community...

In 2005 we supported the following charities and agencies.

Children's Society

Christian Aid

World Vision Fruit Trees

British Legion Poppy Appeal
